If you've been referred to this site, you might want to start at the beginning of this arc (only a few strips).  I wish today's comic were less crowded; it's not one of my finest layouts, but there was so much that I wanted to happen in a single day.  Now I'm going back to bed. I'm trying not to get so sick I miss work.  Gal's gotta make the money, neh?  CF

About d0049: A Suspect Invitation (5): Valentine's Day 2005

People credits: Adam, Stephen, and Chris

Art credits: poster panel of Tony courtesy of Real Life Comics (thank you, Greg and Liz!)  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to obtain Scott Kurtz's permission to use one of the images of Brent Sienna from PvP, so I had to get a little creative.    If you're remembering a certain Tatawaki Kuno of the anime series Ranma 1/2, that isn't accidental, either.   Unfortunately, Kuno was only cool for his initial few episodes, but I digress.

What better holiday than Valentine's Day to pay homage to my absolutely favorite webcomic artists?  These wonderful, horrible guys were so fun that I started thinking about things in panel format, even in some of my odder dreams... and then I decided to try my hand at it... and now my husband deserves a shirt that reads "Photoshop Widower."  Still, I'd like to thank them for all of the absolutely great entertainment.  They are officially tied for "the bomb" status in my book.  If you have been living under a rock and haven't heard of either of them, go visit their sites now.    CF

Next in Getting By: What mischief has Julie invited onto her shoulders? What unnatural thing were the HS guys discussing?  Will we keep rising in Buzzcomix?  Well, that one’s up to you.  CF
