While his performances in the cape humanized the legend for so many of us, the man did so much philanthropic and athletic afterwards but before his accident. That's what has most impressed me about Christopher Reeve. Since his paralysis, his voice for stem cell research and the improvements made in CNS therapies with his efforts have been heroic.
