The forum has now been set up, although I haven't yet figured out how to rename it from the default "Test Forum."  I hope that all of you go and sign up to chat.  I promise not to sell your email addies or anything distasteful like that.

Next step: a Paypal donation button, the Getting By Club, and setting up a swag shop somewhere... I guess that's several steps.  -CF chris@gettingby.net

D00016- “Welcome, fall TA’s!”

People credits:  My dad is the guy in the powder blue zoot suit, from what I think is my mom’s Senior Prom.  It scares me that he looks like some of the fuzzy-minded stud-muffin types I teach, only less jaded by 90’s music.  Also, my Aunt Linda from a 1978 picture.  She was always the cool aunt who would let me eat raw cookie dough.  ;) The military was at JAFAX this last year and took pics with me (I was in school girl uniform that day, I think.  Possibly Megumi …).  I don’t think he’s recognizable after all I did to that photo, though….

A tribute to Red vs Blue, yes.  God help any army in which Doughnut passes muster for Sergeant or Caboose makes Corporal.  As I mentioned, we watched the Season 1 DVD this week- OMG Bwa-hah-hahahahaha!  It warmed my heart to hear the audio commentary about how they had to mold the films to what was available in the game- I often have to mold the strip to available base photographs.  I’m still recruiting for some recurring characters and temporary roles, so all of you who live within an hour or so of Toledo, OH- email me!

For those of you who aren’t familiar with these hilariously funny short films done on an X-box capture-the-flag game, go to their site:

http://www.redvsblue.com/home.php and check them out.  The downloads may be difficult via a dialup connection due to the large file sizes.  We have their first season on DVD, and the 2nd will probably be acquired in the not-too-distant future (Christmas, most likely).  The Trocadero CD is on my Christmas list, in case anyone cares.
