Soooo much grading to do this week.  I am beginning to hate diatoms, which is a real shame.  They're pretty under the 'scope.

Otherwise, I know the skintones on this strip aren't as detailed as other I've done, but I'm trying to find some less time-requiring methods for smaller pictures.  This was a not-entirely failed experiment, although some tweaks could clearly benefit the system.  Any advice?  Send it my way... chris@gettingby.net

D00013- "Noises"

Art credits: The downstairs neighbor was lifted from “A Bar at the Folies-Bergeres” by Edouard Manet.  Kudos for Julie’s T-shirt goes to Neko Wear, whose garb can be purchased from www.cheapdisposable.com

Identifiable people: Chris Fisher and Holly Dombkowski

I’ve recently seen what actual art majors can do with Photoshop (Emily’s recent post at www.Applegeeks.com which is no longer up, alas) and I am very, very jealous. If this were a martial arts film, I suppose I would have an aura of flame surround me and be filled with the zeal to best her, possibly while screaming upwards at the heavens. As it is, I’m working on 3 jobs and a thesis. There will be more appropriate time for radically improving my technique later.

For now, I will continue with the traditional pre-training scene: getting my butt handed to me, eating dirt, and generally not being anywhere near the neighborhood of l337.

On the plus side, there is only 1 weekend of Faire left, which should ease my time crunch. Correction to that self-delusion: I will have more time to do more, with a conserved degree of crunch. I haven’t even really rued my lack of dance-time (knee pain from bursitis, 2 more weeks of treatment at this point, before I am even considering going back to strenuous activity. Yes, a complete recovery is ultimately expected.
