Definitely a crazy life.  This would have been a nicer strip with more pics, but I promise a higher picture:text ratios next time around.

I realize the weather this summer hasn’t had a lot of those hot, sticky days suddenly cooled to comfort within 3 minutes of the first flash of lightning.  These summer air switches are one of the tactile memories of every summer I can remember, and this year has definitely been abnormal for the Midwestern Great Lakes area.

Don't get me wrong; I’m grateful, as it has kept the electric bill down.  It makes me wonder about our climate: long-term changes and ozone and how being in the right place makes all the difference.  If you could selectively move all the ozone from NYC and LA up into the high stratosphere above Alaska and Australia, would it be enough patch the holes?  Then the part of my mind that handles my regular life says, hey, at least you haven’t had to run the A/C much.  Get through the winter, which could either be a bear or a mild, tepid thing (here’s hoping) and move somewhere warmer in time for the next winter.  ;)  Girl’s gotta dream. -CF
