D00011- “And there was much rejoicing” Art credits: “A Bar at the Folies-Bergeres” by Edouard Manet Identifiable people credits: Chris Fisher and Holly Dombkowski As I start this strip, I’m listening to the movie “Final Fantasy: the Spirits Within” in another window and wondering how similar the style of the backgrounds and some of the effects might someday become. Clearly, I have much progress to make, but the comic is a learning tool for me. Here’s hoping, right? -CF And a note from Holly: This would probably be a much better intro if it were not for the fact that I haven't been able to tear my eyes off of the tv- they're showing the 100 Most Shocking Moments in Rock on VH1, and I keep getting sucked into it even though I've seen it 50 times. I'm also a bit distracted as I am getting ready to leave for New York on Thursday. The trip is sort of a birthday present for my sister, who has watched one too many episodes of "Sex and the City" but has never been to said city before. Hopefully, the protests won't interfere with her shopping spree, and hopefully I won't do anything spontaneous to get myself arrested. And let's see... what else? I like belly dancing (thanks to Chris!), karate, cats, sushi and long walks on the beach. I do not like working for people who are stupid. |
