Well, it's official.  I'll be working for a vendor at the Holly Rennaisance Faire this fall.  Come say hi at Morgan's Mane if you're at the faire.  I can only image the priceless images I'll be able to capture there.  Also, casting is nearly done for the first story arc, although the photo shoots will continue for another week or so. Enjoy, or tell me why you aren't at chris@gettingby.net

Thankfully, my time is still decreasing: roughly 4 hours.  Once I get the main backgrounds done, I hope to be able to keep up with the posting schedule using less than 10 hours per week.  Once I figure out how to get the more cartoonish effect that I can see in my mind for the characters, that time should decrease.

I suppose I should explain the name:  Julie is the name of my unrelated twin in Toledo, last name unknown.  When I moved back here in 2000, people whom I did not know would wave, smile, and even start talking to me like an acquaintance.  I have a fairly common face, so I get mistaken waves a lot anyway, but this was getting ridiculous.  I started politely interrupting and asking them who they thought I was.  The most common reaction was a hasty apology and retreat.  The most common answer was Julie (followed by Laura and Mary).  Eventually, someone told me Julie was their TA in accounting at UT the previous semester.  At the time, I was beginning to be a TA at UT in biology.  No, I never went to the accounting department to meet her, although I was periodically tempted.  It would be really awkward saying, “Hi, I look like you- who are you?”  It would also be really disappointing if Julie was a complete git.
