July 20, 2004: 2 for 2 for on-time postings! Welcome to my photo-driven webcomic attempt. Updates can be expected on a MWF schedule, starting in August. Right now, I'm just trying to get the site set up and looking presentable. No, I know I'm not there yet. ;) Take a look around the site, and feel free to email me your suggestions. - chris@gettingby.net |

About d0002, "Hellooo?” Identifiable People credits: Chris Fisher and Stephen Hayward This strip took 2 days to put together, although much of that was making friends with Photoshop Elements 2.0 and checking out all the filters. I’m still not satisfied with the basic style of these close-up shots. The highlights in the hair look like a certain Marvel supergal, y’know, sugah? Still, it was a start. Don't worry- the graphics get much better later. I hadn’t yet cast anyone for the guy behind the counter, and a few days later I saw the Fremont Community Theatre production of “Into the Woods.” The young man playing Rapunzel’s Prince had exactly the kind of clear-cut face and attitude that I wanted for this character. Luckily, my father-in-law was playing the wolf, so I was able to get his phone number from the cast sheet. More luckily, Stephen is a nice enough guy to help out a nearly-total stranger. Thank you!
